If you see one, please fill it out and choose &#8220;Send&nbsp;to imitone&nbsp;HQ&#8221;.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>imitone is crashing!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Fill the report and choose &#8220;send&nbsp;to imitone&nbsp;HQ&#8221;. Include your e-mail address to get help from our team. <strong>(link to this article)<\/strong><\/li><li>You can also use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#about\">feedback button<\/a>&nbsp;to make a report.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nothing happens in imitone when I sing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Try picking a different mic or input channel in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#setup\">setup<\/a>. This might not work if another music app is using the mic, because of device exclusivity <strong>(link to that article)<\/strong>.<\/li><li>imitone won&#8217;t make sound unless it&#8217;s switched to &#8220;instruments&#8221;&nbsp;mode.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My music app isn&#8217;t playing any notes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Try turning on&nbsp;volume <a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#volume\">auto-adjust<\/a>, and check your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#setup\">audio&nbsp;input<\/a> to be sure imitone can hear you.<\/li><li>Make sure that the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#setup\">midi output<\/a>&nbsp;is set to &#8220;imitone app-to-app&#8221;. Otherwise, imitone won&#8217;t send any outgoing messages for your music app to receive.<\/li><li>Check the &#8220;other app&#8221; icon in setup for warnings. <strong>(link to the article about the setup interface)<\/strong><\/li><li>Check that your music app&#8217;s midi input is set to imitone. If it isn&#8217;t detecting imitone as an input, try restarting it, or refreshing its device list.<\/li><li>Set up an instrument for recording in your music app. If your app is set to control something other than an instrument via midi input, you won&#8217;t hear notes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I can play notes, but they&#8217;re very quiet&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Try turning on&nbsp;volume <a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#volume\">auto-adjust<\/a>&nbsp;and check your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#setup\">audio&nbsp;input<\/a>.<\/li><li>Try increasing&nbsp;the <a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#volume\">volume<\/a>&nbsp;(velocity) of notes in imitone, or turning&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#volume\">power control<\/a>&nbsp;off.<\/li><li>Sometimes imitone&#8217;s built-in instruments get stuck on quiet&nbsp;settings. Pressing the sleep button (&#8220;power button&#8221; icon) twice can un-stick them.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>imitone is playing notes that aren&#8217;t there.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>See the tips in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#clarity\">sound clarity<\/a>.<\/li><li>Move the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#volume\">gate volume<\/a>&nbsp;up. It could be that imitone is picking up background noise and thinking that it&#8217;s singing.<\/li><li>Try tidier settings, like&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#piano_roll\">hold mode<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>imitone is playing the wrong notes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Try changing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#pitch_bar\">octave shift<\/a>&nbsp;to 0.<\/li><li>Try a different&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#pitch_bar\">key &amp; scale<\/a>.<\/li><li>Try tidier settings, like&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#piano_roll\">hold mode<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>imitone is playing notes when I&#8217;m not singing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>See the tips in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#clarity\">sound clarity<\/a>&nbsp;about finding a quiet place. Motors, electric&nbsp;hums, music and talking can confuse imitone.<\/li><li>If&nbsp;volume <a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#volume\">auto-adjust<\/a>&nbsp;is off, try turning it on. See if it blocks out the noise.<\/li><li>Sometimes, auto-adjust can mistake noises for singing instead of blocking out noise like it&#8217;s supposed to. You can turn it off and set the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#threshold\">volume gate<\/a>&nbsp;yourself if this is the case.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The response to my voice is delayed.&nbsp; (high latency)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On Windows: try ASIO or kernel mode for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#setup\">audio input<\/a>. Make sure to watch out for device exclusivity conflicts!<\/li><li>Make sure your music app is also set up for low-latency audio. Once again, be careful of device exclusivity conflicts when doing this.<\/li><li>Try&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#slide_mode\">sweep mode<\/a>&nbsp;or other following settings.<\/li><li>Try our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/tech_gen\">experimental tech<\/a>, which has a lower theoretical latency than our classic tech.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The thermometer is flashing and imitone doesn&#8217;t work.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A RED thermometer means imitone needs more CPU power, or the audio is out&nbsp;of&nbsp;sync.<ul><li>Try closing other apps.<\/li><li>Try plugging your laptop in.<\/li><li>Try setting a smaller or lower&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#pitch_var\">pitch range<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>A BLUE thermometer means the audio is frozen.<ul><li>Try re-selecting your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/imitone.com\/manual\/#setup\">audio input<\/a>.<\/li><li>Try a different microphone.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My throat hurts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Singing is hard work!
