Dear All,
excuse me if this is a silly question, but I would like to use a recording (mp3 or air) to process through imitone to a midi-input in Garageband (or Logic). Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if yes how?
Thanks for the help
ps
I love the software!

This is possible using the hidden replay function of imitone. You have to convert your mp3 to WAV and rename it "capture". In imitone hit CTRL + R (command +R if mac) a folder appears, put your WAV in this folder. Finally, hit R to play your WAV through imitone.

Wonderful, thanks (no wonder I didn't find it)!

Haha, yes, this is more of a debugging tool than a feature so it's buried. There will be a proper audio-to-MIDI conversion feature in the future.
I'm new to all of this even though I bought imitone several years ago. I'm just now seriously beginning some work with it and I'm enjoying.
I've had this same question. I'm just wondering if the Audio-to-MIDI feature is something that may be expected to be available anytime soon? I do see the work around provided by "Handmusician" but since this was originally posted back in 2016-05-10 I'm just checking to see if there is something specific from within the program I might have missed.
Honestly my quick and dirty solution for beginning to learn what I want to do is to take an audio file on my iPhone and play it while holding it up to the Yeti. It's crude but effective for me while I'm learning settings and how to record with GarageBand. So much to learn.
I'm using a MacBook Pro, Monterey v12.5 (M1); imitone Beta 0.11.2; GarageBand 10.4.6; Yeti (Blue)

We've scheduled audio-to-MIDI conversion as part of a larger feature set oriented toward creating some new workflows with imitone. Of course, piggybacking a smaller feature onto a larger one has a way of making things take more time.
Our current focus is on overhauling imitone's plugins. It's pretty easy to run an audio file through a VST. Our current VST plugins are in a pretty early state but are functional with most Windows DAWs with the limitation that the interface is very basic. After the plugins update (toward the end of the year) they'll have our full designer interface.
