Hi Evan,
I bought imitone about a month or two ago because I've always wanted my Omnisphere choir patches to portamento between notes like a real choir can. Theoretically, with imitone I could sing each part myself shifted up or down an octave to make the pitch bend sound really nice and organic. However at + - 2 semitones there isn't enough room for whole tone or higher pitch shifting. The other setting at +- 24 has a different problem in that the pitch bends don't sound quite seamless. That is when i record myself doing a portamento with my voice and listen back to the pitch changes caused by imitone, there are jumps in pitch, which makes it sound unnatural, like its skipping every 10 cents or something. What I really need to do is set it to + - 12 or maybe even +- 9 so I can get all the wiggle room I want while also not getting this skipping of cents happening which is the only thing stopping me from making great choir portamentos. I just can't seem to get it to work, and this is the sole reason I've bought imitone (so I can reach the in between notes and make VST instruments more in sync with vocal tracks).
I'm sure there's a way to do this but its very unclear from the manual and I've even tried going into the config.xml to change the range ="2" to range="12" but as soon as I open imitone, it changes back to 2 without me doing anything!!
Anyways, all the best and I hope we can all get what we want from this cool music making tool.

Hey, JJessep --
Kudos on finding the hidden 24 setting. I will look into ways of making that more flexible... In the long run I plan on adding a little "wrench" menu.
The hitches you're encountering are actually a certain limitation in imitone's algorithm which I've been wanting to fix for some time. 0.8.2 improved upon this problem but didn't solve it completely. Setting a different pitch-bend isn't likely to help. Using the stabilizer in 0.8.2 is probably your best bet for dealing with the issue, though it has some bad habits of its own and I'm actually removing it from 0.8.3 for that reason.
Ultimately I think this is something that won't see proper improvement until 0.9.0, which is a ways off. I'm currently planning out my next stage of R&D, and I expect the next generation of the tech to solve this issue. I may attempt a "band-aid" solution in the coming update.

Oh, and if you do want to set a 12st bend range, you can follow these steps:
1. Open imitone.
2. Configure imitone to pitch bend.
3. Press control-R or command-R to open imitone's data folder.
4. Close imitone.
5. Open imitone's config.xml.
6. Edit the <Pitch> range to 12 and save.
7. Open imitone again. Don't change the slide mode, or your custom range setting will be lost.
