Hi guy's,
My first series of test with the latest imitone are giving me a few problems :
1-I have 3 type of entry for imitone in my Reaper MIDI settings
a-imitone
b-imitone app to app
c-imitone VST
So which one should i use? I already tried the VST but it is loading a sliders interface not the imitone one.
The only one that seem to work partially was the app to app but if i record a track in Reaper with this one i get sound distorsion but when i hum in imitone there is no distortion only when i record.
I tried all audio devices and none fix the sound problem
Thank for any help since i would really like to test imitone for a game sound score.

Hello —
Are you using the stand-alone app, the VST or the VST3 plug-in? The app doesn't need to be running when using the plugins (although it does need to be activated first).
The plugins don't have our designer interface yet, and come in three flavors:
imitone app-to-app is my preferred method. It acts like an audio effect, but passes its audio input to its output unchanged. While doing that, it acts as a virtual MIDI controller similar to the app. The best way to set this up is as its own track, which is always "listening" in your project. After loading up the project, open REAPER's settings menu, refresh MIDI devices and select imitone app-to-app as the input.
imitone audio-to-midi has an audio input and a MIDI output. Only some DAWs support this (including REAPER). I recommend setting this up to always "listen" to your mic. You can place an instrument plugin immediately after it, or route its MIDI output to other tracks as you work.
imitone VST3 expression sends VST3 events instead of MIDI. In DAWs which good support for VST3 (mainly Cubase), you can route VST3 events in much the same way as MIDI events.
I'm planning to revisit the plugins as one of our next big updates, adding our designer interface and Mac plugins. In the meantime, I suggest getting the hang of the app first (it's much easier to use).

Hi Evan and thank for replying, i am using the app to app version and i am not sure how to set it up correctly.
I did another test with another microphone with headset and with this one i get no distortion in midi recording but it make no sense that my desktop microphone(Samson Go Mic) make distortion on midi recording since you guy's are using it in public boot showcase and this a very noisy environment.
In the imitone setup section sometime i have an exclamation point under the Mic saying latency problem but i don't know if it is related and i tried various distance and mic level without success.

Hello —
Try enabling Sound Check to see if there is any garbling of the mic input. Other than that, follow the tips in our manual to help get a tidy score: https://imitone.com/manual/#tips
